Welcome to the: Canterbury Land Rover Owners Club Inc.
Canterbury, New Zealand.40th Anniversay celebration photos here!
You might like to know a little more about CLROC. In spite of its name, it is much more than a one make 4wd club - in fact membership is open to all makes of four-wheel-drive vehicles with capabilities similar to the Land Rover. We count a large number of Toyota Landcruisers and Hiluxes, Nissan Patrols and other similar vehicles amongst our members as well as Land Rovers, Range Rovers and Discoverys.
Our primary efforts go to the organisation of club off-road trips but we also provide driver education/training and safety checks, sell spares and recovery/servicing equipment at discount prices and maintain quite an extensive library of books, repair manuals and videos. If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate committee member below.
Membership currently stands at between 200 and 250 with typically over 100 people attending our monthly meetings at the Richmond WMC, London Street, Christchurch).
Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except January which is on the 4th Tuesday) and run from 7:30 to about 10:30 pm.
At the formal part of the meeting the emphasis is on reporting on recent and forthcoming club activities and informing members of decisions made by the committee who run the club on a day-to-day basis. We may also have slides, videos or a guest speaker. This is followed by a chance for everyone to chat over a `cuppa'.We publish a monthly newsletter which we hope is entertaining and informative, and this gives details about forthcoming trips and social events. It carries some advertising of 4WD-relevant products and we encourage our members to support the advertisers as they support us.
