CLUB SERVICES

CLUB ACTIVITIES
The main activities of the club are four wheel drive trips. These vary in duration from one day local trips to week long camping trips in more remote locations. Other activities include new members driver training days, social events and non-competitive navigational exercises.
OTHER AFFILIATIONS
4WD EMERGENCY TEAM

CLROC and other local 4WD clubs combine to form the 4WD Emergency Team which is called on occasionally by local authorities for our help and expertise in floods, fires and extreme weather conditions.

PLEASE NOTE
Members are also reminded that the following equipment is required on club trips :-
  • Front and rear tow hooks Shovel
  • Fire extinguisher
  • First-aid kit
  • Basic tool kit & Tow rope.

If these items are not present in your vehicle at the beginning of a trip trip leaders can exclude you from that trip.

CLUB EQUIPMENT
For borrowing by members for repairs on their own vehicles or use on Club trips.

The Club has repair equipment and specialist tools for loan to Club members.

QUAD POD - a Stand/Lifting frame with chain hoist and extension chain & shackle.

COMPRESSOR - with spray gun and engine cleaning gun.

TIRFOR WIRE ROPE WINCH - with 2 wire ropes, extension chain and tree trunk protector. This winch can be borrowed for trips.

A - FRAME - Complete multi-purpose lifting frame.

HYDRAULIC GEARBOX CRADLE - For extracting gearboxes.

BALL-JOINT BREAKER - Cracking open taper steering ball-joints.

VACUUM PUMP - Bleeding brakes and checking vacuum advance units.

PORTA-POWER - Complete hydraulic push and pull kit.

EXHAUST GAS ANALYSER for tuning petrol motors.

This equipment is available from Gearkeeper/Librarian and must be returned to him cleaned and in good condition.

For general use of members; available from

A range of lubricants, recovery equipment and other spares are available to members from : SPARES OFFICER.
